Counselling for everyone.

Inclusive, person-centred counselling.

"Oh boy how therapy with June helped me unscramble my messy mind — I finally recognised the person I am underneath the spaghetti junction. Sometimes a stranger's ear is the best therapy. It most definitely was for me."

— Emma H (pseudonym chosen by client)

Counselling

About

I am a disabled, neurodivergent, non-binary qualified person-centred counsellor with a focus on working with disabled, neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ adults, including people living with chronic pain. Sessions move at your pace and are shaped around what you want to bring, there's no wrong way to show up.

I offer sessions on Saturday afternoons as a regular part of my working week, and can accommodate weekday evenings after 6pm on request.

Qualifications

I have a Masters in Counselling and Psychotherapy (Professional Training) from the University of Salford. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

Social media statement

I will respond to messages or comments on my posts, but I do not provide counselling through social media. In such cases, I will usually ask you to contact me directly.

Inclusivity statement

I believe in affirming people's identity as they see themselves. This means using the name and pronouns you tell me, and where possible using the language, you use to describe yourself.

Cancellations

If you cancel within 24 hours you will be charged half of the usual fee. If you cancel outside of 24 hours there will be no fee.

Fees and payment

My standard fee is £50 per 50-minute session. Any differentiation in price must be agreed in advance and will be reviewed on a regular basis. Payment should be made in advance as part of the booking process.

How it works

1

Consultation

The first step is to book a call, have a chat about what you're looking for and what you want from counselling and whether you think we would be a good fit.
2

1st Session

The first session will involve going over how our sessions will work together and agreeing on boundaries such as confidentiality. We will also talk through your expectations, what's brought you to counselling, and discuss any adjustments that might make sessions more accessible for you.
3

Regular sessions

Session frequency is entirely up to you: Weekly, fortnightly, monthly, whatever works for you.
